pffft, finale was so boring. the forum wasn’t much better, i’m amazed you stuck out the entire hour.
i think the best part of the forum was the jibes about the coke ad with colicchio and the references to achatz.
well say what you will, i will still want to eat at alinea at some point in the distant future… i think the strategy of waiting for my parents to visit is a good one.
PS: what was that about white pepper?
I agree Winnie. One of the panelists, Ronnie complained on the LTH forum that he thought that we used sour milk in our mashed potatoes?!
After I linked to Harold Mcgee’s blog, he concluded from the posting that it was the white pepper that can give off a strange and unpleasant flavor.
BTW… Jens had nothing to do with it… it was just some inside humor.
